Changes to the MarCom Society, Including Price
I love getting emails from school marketers. It's amazing how two completely different questions can arrive in my inbox and highlight the same issue.
In December, I received an email from a marketing director at a K-12 school in Florida asking about project management tools to help handle all her tasks as a one-person marketing office. I also received an email from a Director of Strategic Communications at a school in California lamenting that she didn't have enough professional development dollars to attend all the conferences she wanted.
These emails reminded me why I started the MarCom Society in the first place - to create a supportive community for school marketing professionals facing these exact challenges. And today, I'm excited to share some big changes coming to MCS that directly address those pain points and many more.
Starting today, we're rolling out a completely reimagined programming schedule designed to provide ongoing support and skill development throughout the year. Think of it as having a marketing conference whenever you need it, right from your desk.
Every month, you'll have access to:
Guest Experts - A live session with guest experts sharing their proven strategies
Lunch & Learn - Practical "over-the-shoulder" training sessions where you can watch and learn specific tools and tactics
Quick Wins - Quick win sessions focused on immediately implementable strategies
Co-Working Accountability Sessions - Join, say hello, and share what you're working on, work on it, then check in at the end to share how it went.
But that's not all. Each quarter, we're adding:
Book Club - A book club focused on marketing and leadership development
Online Course - A deep-dive course on emerging topics like AI in school marketing or advanced digital strategies
We are keeping the ongoing:
Mastermind Groups - Small groups meet every three weeks to help support each other and grow as MarCom professionals.
Video Ask - You can privately ask me your marcom question.
With these enhanced offerings, our annual membership rate will increase to $1,000 per year starting January 13, 2025. But here's the good news - if you act in the next two weeks, you can lock in our current $600 per year rate.
Whether you're managing social media single-handedly or leading a department, our goal remains to provide the support and resources you need to tell your school's story effectively.
