Six Weeks, Your Funnel, Your Materials

Every AI session I’ve ever sat through ended the same way.

Everyone nodded. Everyone took notes. Then everyone went back to a full inbox and did exactly what they did before.

I’ve run a few of those myself.

So when SAIS asked me to lead an AI cohort this winter, I set one rule. Nobody leaves with notes. They leave with the thing built.

Six Zoom sessions, January 5 through February 8, 75 minutes each. Every week takes one stage of the enrollment journey, from awareness to re-enrollment. You bring your own funnel. The stalled inquiry pool. The tour that doesn’t convert. The re-enrollment dip you can’t explain.

Then we fix it together, using AI on your actual materials. Your inquiry response. Your tour follow-up. Your numbers. You log off with something you can use that afternoon.

A reader from a small preschool asked whether this was built for schools like hers. Honest answer: it’s built for the person doing admissions and marketing at the same time, which at most of our schools is one person.

If January is the month your funnel gets loud and your inbox gets quiet, this is a good six weeks to spend on it.

Thanks,
Brendan

Every school wants a full class of mission-fit families. Far fewer have a marketing and enrollment funnel that actually finds them, moves them, and closes them — and even fewer are using the one tool that lets a small team run like a big one. This cohort fixes both.

Over six weeks, participants walk the full enrollment journey — awareness to inquiry to visit to application to enrolled to re-enrolled — and repair the leak at each stage. They bring their own funnel: a stalled inquiry pool, a tour that doesn’t convert, a yield problem, a re-enrollment dip. And in every working session, they put AI to work on the real task in front of them — writing the email, answering the inquiry, personalizing the tour follow-up, reading the numbers — so they leave not just with a plan, but with the workflows to run it.

Synchronous time is for coaching and hands-on building, not lecture. Each week pairs a short pre-read with a working block in which participants use their own school’s materials and leave with a tool, template, or prompt they can use that afternoon.

The Question Behind the Question

Most schools and nonprofits market from the inside out. Schools love to talk about themselves, whether it's their programs, rankings, test scores or outcomes. But prospective families and donors aren't just asking, "What do you have?" They're asking something much more personal, like, "Is this the place for someone like me?" or "Will my investment here matter?" Story answers those questions. Data doesn't.
