This past Thursday, I treated myself.
How, you may ask?
I allowed myself the mental space and time to put work away, close the laptop, and enjoy some time with my family whilst having an adult beverage.

I share this with you because I'm not very good at shutting off and putting work away. I've improved as I've gotten older, but I still struggle with that balance. However, this ordinary Thursday night with my family was really nice and reminded me that I need to put work away more frequently.
As school ends for the summer, even though I know that MarCom professionals work all year, I want to remind you to please take some time off and relax, rest, and recharge.
Because, as you know, the work will still be there tomorrow. š
